Dialog speech and language technologies AB is the data Controller with regards to Your Personal Data in the scope of this Privacy Policy, and is responsible for its processing under applicable data protection regulations and laws. Dialog processes Personal Data to provide and maintain Our Service and Website, manage user Accounts, fulfill contracts, communicate with Users, offer news and promotions, and handle User requests. Data is also used for analysis, marketing, and improving the Service and Website. 

This Privacy Policy applies when You use Dialog Therapy (the ‘Service’). The Privacy Policy also applies when you visit our ‘Website’ (https://www.dialog-therapy.com/), when You contact Us, and when We contact You with news and marketing.

16. User means the natural person who has registered an Account on the Service, has been assigned a Practice Account on the Service, or is accessing the Website.

17. API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of rules, protocols, and tools that allows different software applications to communicate and interact with each other. APIs define the methods and data formats that applications can use to request and exchange information or services.

When registering an Account on the Service, it is necessary for us to process Your Personal data in order for us to fulfill the performance of contract for the License Agreement, and to be able to provide You the Service, and create and manage Your Account.

We retain and process your personal data for the duration of the agreement and for up to two (2) years thereafter.

4. Audio recordings

When using Our Service to perform speech exercises and allowing access to Your microphone, we utilize speech recognition functionality powered by a cloud-based API. We will only process your audio recordings if you have given us Your consent to process this data. Your consent for the processing of audio recordings is obtained through your agreement via a pop-up notification when you first attempt to use the speech recognition functionality in the Service. Consent is then saved as a cookie in your browser.

By agreeing, you explicitly consent to the processing of Your audio recordings in line with what is stated in this Privacy Policy. You can withdraw this consent from the Service cookies page or by manually removing the stored audio consent cookie from your browser. If you choose to withdraw your consent, it will not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.

Your audio recordings are strictly used for processing purposes to retrieve the output transcription and are never stored by Dialog or any Processor. The audio data sent to the API is solely processed to provide the resulting text transcript, which is used for providing speech recognition and feedback when performing exercises in the Service.All audio recordings provided by You when using the Service are processed on servers located within the European Union (EU).

Personal data collected through Usage Data from Cookies and similar technologies are processed based on our legitimate interest in developing and improving our Service, and understanding how Users interact with it. Read more in the section below (3.3 Usage Data).

3.3 Usage Data

If Cookies are allowed and the User has given cookie consent , Usage Data is collected when using the Service or Website.
