These instructions are the same for all types of users of the platform.

Problems with microphone

Problems with microphone can occur due to several reasons.

First, make sure that your device has a microphone and that it is connected. On laptops, tablets and smartphones microphones are often built-in. On desktop computers you might have to use an external microphone.

Second, make sure that you are using one of the supported browsers, these are Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.

If you are certain that neither of the above is the reason for the microphone problems, depending on your device and operating system try the following:

Android (Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, OnePlus, etc.)

Option 1:
1. Go to device settings
2. Open "Privacy" from the settings menu
3. Find the item "Microphone access"
4. If "Microphone access" is inactive, click the toggle button to allow the use of the microphone
5. Try if the microphone works now

Option 2:
1. Go to device settings
2. Open "Apps" from the settings menu
3. Find the web browser you are using and click it
4. Click "Permissions"
5. If under the heading "Not allowed" it says microphone, press it and select the Allow option
6. Try if the microphone works now

iOS (Apple) Steps:
1. Go to device settings
2. Open "Privacy and Security" (or "Privacy") from the settings menu
3. Select "Microphone"
4. Find the web browser you are using and if the toggle button is inactive, click it to allow the use of microphone
5. Try if the microphone works now

Computer (Windows, MacOS)
Depending on your operating system and browser, the following instructions might differ for a bit, but generally you can allow microphone by following these steps:
1. Go to your browser settings.
2. Find permission settings (usually in privacy and security settings).
3. Find microphone settings or site settings.
4. Set microphone permission for app.dialog-therapy.com to "Allow".

For specific details for your device and operating system, you can try googling "Allow microphone <your browser, e.g. Google Chrome> <your operating system, e.g. Windows>".
